You know the deal by this stage, here’s my top pick’s of the week:

Rusangano Family – Heathrow

With details about their upcoming album, Let The Dead Bury The Dead flooding out this week, the hype is building aptly for the trio. April 8th is the release date and chances are, they are coming to a town near you soon, so check our Twitter for their full tour details.

Ocean Wisdom – High Street

Another appearance in our top five for Ocean Wisdom. His album Chaos 93 drops 22nd of February and is definitely not to slept on. This track, produced by Dirty Dike, is a prime example of why Ocean should be on your radar.

De La Soul – Rock Co.Kane Flow

Announced this week that they’ll be performing in the Olympia June 16th, De La Soul are a playlist mainstay in my book. This classic track with the elusive MF DOOM is always worth a revisit.
Isaiah Rashad – Smile

Most likely the first TDE member who will release an album this year, the unique and soulful Isaiah Rashad is a very interesting prospect. His first mixtape, Clivia Demo was a brilliantly eclectic showing from Rashad and I’m looking forward to what’s in store next, especially after the release of this single, ‘Smile’.
Kendrick Lamar – Grammy’s Performance

There’s not much to say about this other than we need a high quality version of this video on Youtube ASAP. Kendrick left his stamp on the Grammy’s, after winning several awards including Rap Album of the Year, with this performance of the Blacker The Berry, Alright and yet another instalment in his Untitled (and so far, unreleased) series. There’s a full size video of the performance shared on our Facebook if you haven’t seen it yet.
